Black Country Brass has announced the appointment of Iain Masson as its new Artistic Director and Conductor.

A graduate of the RNCM in Manchester and the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, the band stated that he brings extensive experience and a fresh vision, "marking an exciting new chapter for the band".

Connection

Iain's connection with Black Country Brass began in 2010 and returned in 2024 for a number of summer engagements, including a well-received appearance at the Ironbridge Festival. His continued leadership has now culminated in his formal appointment as Artistic Director.

A self-employed musician and educator he has gained acclaimed for his ork both in performance and in community engagement.
