Katrina Marzella-Wheeler has taken a rather frightening decision to help Scottish champion the cooperation band get to Stavanger to represent the nation at the 2025 European Championships.

The band's Principal Conductor is leading their fund-raising efforts by taking a spine-cracking bungee jump in Cairns in Queensland, where she is currently enjoying a family holiday.

All in

Speaking about being dropped, she told 4BR: "Taking on this challenge is my way of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the players in the band. They've been working tirelessly to raise the funds needed for their journey to Norway, and this is my way of saying, I'm all in."

I'll be posting footage of my free fall on social media,"Katrina promised. "I might regret that in the moment, but if it helps us reach our goal, it'll all be worth it!"

Show of leadership

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "We couldn't quite believe it went Katrina said this is what she wanted to do — and to be honest we didn't have too many others who said they would follow suit!

It's an amazing show of leadership and gives us a huge boost as we continue to work hard to raise the funds to proudly represent Scotland at the contest.

We hope Katrina's bold bungee swing is intended to inspire supporters worldwide to contribute to the band's campaign."
