Congratulations from around the banding world are being received by Paul Hindmarsh after the hugely respected multi-faceted musician was presented with the 2024 BUMA International Award in recognition of the scope and excellence of his work within the brass band world.

Speaking about the award on his Facebook page Paul said: "I was honoured to receive the award, especially recognising the commissioning and curating for the RNCM International Brass Band Festival."
During the ceremony which took place during a special concert in Tiel, Paul was delighted to hear the world premiere of a fanfare band version of the march 'Praise' by Wilfred Heaton, a composer who work he has researched, published and championed for many years.
The well known brass band promoter Jappie Dijkstra (Jappie) was presented with the BUMA National award at the vent.
