Brass Bands England (BBE) has confirmed the date, venue and theme for the next Brass Band Conference.
The 2025 event will take place on Saturday 27th September at Redhills, the Durham Miners' Association Hall in Durham city centre. The 2025 theme will be, 'The Next Generation.'
Youth led
BBE's Chief Operating Officer Sarah Baumann told 4BR: "Over the past few years, BBE has taken strides in Youth Voice, and next year we are going one step further. The 2025 Conference will be youth-led, with programming guided by our Youth Voice Working Group.
We'll also be creating a new opportunity for a paid internship as a Conference Producer, which is an excellent opportunity for someone early-career to gain event management experience."
Sarah added: "In order for banding to continue to thrive, we need to listen to the next generation of players, contest organisers, conductors, composers and audiences, and create opportunities for them."

Redhills venue
The Redhills: Durham Miners' Hall is currently undergoing a period of re-development, reopening to the public in Spring 2025.
The National Heritage Fund project will see the building transformed into a centre for culture, heritage and education.
As in previous years, an open call for contributors for the conference will open in January 2025, with tickets going on sale in May.
