Fresh from their memorable Fourth Section National Championship of Great Britain success at Cheltenham, Betteshanger Band has announced that it has secured a sponsorship arrangement with the Luton based Eclipse Instruments.

One of the best

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "We are incredibly pleased to be associated with one of the best musical instrument makers in the world.

After an extremely successful year this is further fantastic news for Betteshanger Band. We are delighted that a world leading UK instrument manufacturer has offered sponsorship which will help secure our future."

Regional and National titles

Under the baton of Mike West, Betteshanger returned to the contest scene earlier this year after a decade away, winning first prize in the Fourth Section London & Southern Counties Regional Contest — followed by the National title in September.

Mike said: "This is a very exciting time for us. It is a tremendous boost to the band's dedicated and talented players who always strive for the best and are committed to their music making.

We are thankful to Leigh for his generosity and commitment. I have played on the outstanding Eclipse range and also had the privilege to work closely with Leigh and Carl."
