Dave Houghton of Doodles Mouthpiece Replating has been working hard meeting demand after he has been linking up with new customers all wanting to benefit from his mouthpiece expertise.
Right time?
He told 4BR: "It's been really busy in the last few weeks which has been great, but one of the most common questions I've been asked is when is the right time to get a mouthpiece replated?
My advice is to look at your mouthpiece carefully and see is it is showing signs of wear and tear, pitting, scratches and chips. If it is not close to being in the same condition as when you bought it, then perhaps the time is right to get an overhaul."
Just ask
Dave said that all people must do is get in touch and send some images to him to have a loom at so that he can offer advice.
"It seems odd to me that so many people battle on with a mouthpiece that may be well loved and cherished but isn't helping them with their playing."
