The Hepworth just about rounded off the first part of their contesting season with a second successive march and hymn tune contest win as they retained the Hebden Bridge title under MD Ryan Watkins.
The British Open contenders showed their quality for adjudicator David Roberts against their rivals with performances of 'The Wizard' and 'In Love For Me' to end ahead of BD1 Brass with Milnrow in third.
They now head to the Morley March Contest looking to add further silverware and prize money into their coffers after their victories here and the recent Traveller's Rest event in Meltham.
Two out of two
"Two out of two," they said on their Facebook page.
"The band walked away victorious after retaining the title alongside a Best Basses award. The sun has shone, and it's been a great afternoon of music. Thank you to Hebden Bridge Band for another brilliant event and congratulations to BD1 Brass and Milnrow Band on their respective podium finishes."
In what was another well-run event, the organisers said: "Many thanks to everyone who supported our march contest this past weekend, but a particular shout out to the bands who entertained us all throughout the day."
