The Association of Brass Band Adjudicators (AoBBA) has announced the appointment of Martin Heartfield as its new Vice-Chairperson.

Experience

With a highly respected record of achievement within the movement both as a conductor and judge, he fills the role following the appointment of Brett Baker as the organisation's Chairperson at its most recent Annual General Meeting.

Martin's adjudication appoints have included being on panels at the National Championships of Great Britain, Area contests and events from Butlins to and the National Youth Championships to Whit Friday.

For the last six years, he has led AoBBA's Trainee Adjudicator Programme — a role which he will continue.

Delighted

Commenting on his appointment, Martin said: "I'm delighted to be appointed and looking forward to working with the rest of the Executive Committee on several new initiatives in the near future."

The Association of Brass Band Adjudicators took the opportunity to congratulate all bands that have taken part in the recent Regional Championships in the North West of England, Yorkshire and the Midlands, as well as sending their best wishes to those in the contests to come.
