Manger Musikklag has announced the appointment of Tormod Flaten as their new Resident Musical Director. He will join the band in the Autumn of next year.
The hugely respected euphonium soloist is based in Bergen with the Norwegian Navy Band and has also recently been appointed Musical Director of Kleppe Musikklag Band.

A spokesperson for Manger Musikklag told 4BR: "We have been looking to fill the role following our successful partnership with Martin Winter. There was great interest from many excellent candidates, and we are delighted to welcome Tormod."
In response Tormod said: "I'm really looking forward to working with Manger who are deservedly regarded as one of the icons of the Norwegian brass band movement. I'm highly motivated to improve and develop the band further together with artistic leader, Allan Withington".
