Edward Gregson's 'Music of the Angels' will be heard in its brass ensemble version at a special concert at the Royal College of Music in London in July.
Conducted by the composer the RCM Brass Ensemble and percussion will present the acclaimed dramatic work based on the biblical text from the Book of Revelation, as well as his 'Fanfare for a New Era' which was commissioned to celebrate the opening of the Stoller Hall in Manchester in 2017.
Latest work
Also included will be his 'Quintet for Brass' written in 1967, his 'Symphony in Two Movements', as well as his latest work, 'Flourish for the RCM' dedicated to its Director, Colin Lawson.
There is also a world premiere from RCM composer Tomás Brantmayer, and a boldly passionate choral work by Roxanna Panufnik in a new brass arrangement.
