At the recent concert given by National Champion Foden's to assist the East Anglian Brass Band Association in celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III, presentations were also made to honour stalwarts of the banding movement in the area.

Long Service

Long Service Certificates were presented to six dedicated people, including Association Secretary Christine Wade, all of whom had given at least 40 years of service to the East Anglian banding community.

Certificates were presented by Foden's MD Michael Fowles to Ian Colman (40 years), Beris Bowen (40 years), Steve Wakefield (50 years), Peter Golden (60 years), Jane Bussey (40 years) and Christine Wade (50 years).

The event also saw the organisers display programmes from other Coronation years — from 1937 and King George VI as well as 1953 and Queen Elizabeth II with a packed audience enjoying the wonderfully appropriate music making of the National Champion.
