Unfortunately the band has had to cancel their concert appearance

A communal outbreak of Covid-19 symptoms and positive test results has forced Hammonds Band into having to cancel its concert appearance this weekend at Pemberton Band Club (Saturday 22nd April).

In an announcement on their Facebook page the band stated that during the past week an increasing number of players had been affected, and that despite hopes that things would improve, they had not, and the difficult decision had to be made.

We are aware that this is very short notice for the cancellation of the concert, but despite our best efforts, we have found ourselves in the unfortunate position where we are not able to perform this weekendHammonds Band

Difficult decision

They stated: "Given the number of players missing we had to make the difficult decision to contact Pemberton Band and inform them that we would not be able to perform at the concert. This was a decision that was not taken lightly.

They added: "We offer our sincere apologies to all at Pemberton Band, as well as everyone who has purchased tickets for the concert.

We are aware that this is very short notice for the cancellation of the concert, but despite our best efforts, we have found ourselves in the unfortunate position where we are not able to perform this weekend."
