The National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain heads to Birmingham today for a joint concert with The Band of His Majesty's Royal Marines Collingwood.
The concert will take place at Ruddock Hall, on Saturday 15th April at 4.00pm and will see the two ensembles provide a wide variety of music — including the world premiere of award-winning composer Paul Saggers latest work, 'Vivaldi's Mission to Saturn on a Dog named Bongo'!
On the airwaves
The Marines MD, Capt Sam Hairsine took to the airwaves this week to speak to BBC Radio WM presenter John Fox about the concert and what the two bands and have in store for the audience.
In addition to the bands playing individual items, they will also join forces for Dan Price's 'Andromeda' and Geoff Nobes' beautiful 'Prelude on Lavenham'."
