Recycling help from Denis Wick

An alternative answer to recycling sees Denis Wick Products help young players at Elland.

Elland
The mouthpieces are already being out to great use...

Elland Youth Band and Training Bands have befitted from a generous donation from Denis Wick Products Ltd to help support their work in inspiring new generations of brass players.

The organisation was recently presented with several mouthpieces for different instruments, with Denis Wick Marketing Lead, Dr Brett Baker telling 4BR how it came about.

"We have a huge amount of admiration for what the Elland organisation continues to achieve and this was an ideal way to help support their efforts."

Ideal alternative

He added: "Due to changes within our distributor network we received back some mouthpieces that were tarnished or that had slight scratches on the shank. We would usually send them to be recycled due to our strict product quality control levels, but they are still perfectly usable.

Being able to get them into the hands of youngsters all eager to play was an ideal alternative on this occasion, and so we got in touch with Elland and we know they will be put to immediate great use."

Great use

In response to the donation, Elland Youth Band MD Samantha Harrison told 4BR: "It was such a wonderful gesture of generosity — and I can guarantee they will be all put to great use.

Being able to provide top-quality mouthpiece to young players is a huge boost in helping them develop full, warm sounds. Everyone is eager to play on one!"
