There is a highly competitive field of bands taking part in the Fife Brass Band Festival at the Lochgelly Centre, on April 22nd.
Cross section
It all kicks off at 9.30am with adjudicator, Anne Crookston having to compare and contrast the entertainment programmes from the cross section of 13 nationally graded bands. Each programme must include a solo item.
Entertainment judges, Jill Gillespie and Madeleine Baker will decide on the most entertaining band prize.
There will be a concert by Kirkintilloch Youth Band while the results are being prepared. The defending champion is Kingdom Brass.
Tickets can be purchased on the day.
