Audley Brass will be opening its doors to welcome its local community to come and find out more about the band which has proudly represented them for the past 120 years.
The band has always played an integral part in many local events such as the annual Remembrance Parade and a variety of Christmas performances and carrying the name of the village wherever they compete nationwide.
Now they have invited local residents to join them at their bandroom to observe rehearsals and find out more about how the band is run.
Reason to smile
Musical Director Tom Hancock told 4BR: "We are acutely aware of the strains that many households find themselves under and we want to give our supporters a reason to smile over the coming months.
As a self-funded charitable organisation, we are grateful for the support the local community gives to us and we want to give a little something back. Our bandroom premises are in use twice a week and we have spare capacity for a small audience, so we thought why not invite those supporters to share a warm space and a hot drink with us."
Opening times
The bandroom will be open to guests during normal band rehearsal times — typically Wednesdays 7.00pm — 9.30pm and Sundays 5.15pm — 9.00pm.
