The death has been announced of Clive Baker

The death has been announced of Clive Baker, the highly respected BBb bass player, chairperson and President of the Melton Band. He passed away, aged 82, on Sunday 13th November.

The father of Leigh Baker and Dan Baker-Collins was a popular and committed member of the Midlands banding community alongside his dedicated support of the musical progress of his sons.

The family want to thank everybody for the many lovely messages they've received since his passing.

Funeral

The funeral will take place on Wednesday 30th November at Loughborough Crematorium at 1.15pm for family and friends (Leicester Rd, Loughborough LE11 2AF).

At 2.30pm there'll be a celebration of his life at the Sage Cross Methodist Church in Melton (Sage Cross St, Melton Mowbray LE13 1RB). There may well be some brass music involved alongside an opportunity to share memories and stories.

Welcome

Anyone who would like to play would be very welcome. The Melton Band and friends will be playing as people enter church, with some hymns and a new work dedicated to his memory.

Please arrive by 2.00pm if you are playing.
