Unite the Union Band has announced a trio of new signings.

BBb tuba player Matthew Cotterhill completes the band's bass section. The Denis Wick artist is well known as a professional sousaphone player and is a member of Back Chat Brass.

Meanwhile, David Lindley has re-joined on second cornet to bring a wealth of expertise and experience, whilst Alex Aver Howdle joins on percussion. Alex is a music student at the University of Huddersfield.

High calibre

Speaking about the new arrivals, Jonathan Beatty, MD told 4BR: "The high calibre of new signings shows the wonderful way the band is progressing. Matthew is super addition to the bass section, it's wonderful to see David back with us and Alex is such an exciting talent.

I'm really looking forward to working with all three players as we start rehearsing for our winter engagements."
