The finalists for the 2022 BrookWright International Brass Band Composer Competition (IBBCC) have now been announced.
They were decided by judges, James Curnow, Dr. Liz Lane and Paul Hindmarsh.
Finalists
64 worldwide entries were received from composers and arrangers representing 10 different countries, with Anders Beijer (Sweden), Thibaut Bruniaux (France), Christopher Cook (UK), Fendall Hill (Australia) and Allen Molineux (USA) making it through.

Voting will close at noon US Central Standard Time (CST) on Friday 18th November 2022.
Likes
The piece with the highest number of 'likes' by this time will be awarded the 'Public Commendation Prize' and a cash prize of $150.
The Overall Winner, decided by the judges, will also be announced and will receive $500 cash, a download license to NotePerformer, publication of their work through BrookWright Music, and a recording by the North American First Section Champion, Dallas Brass Band.

BrookWright's owner Andrew Wainwright told 4BR: "We have been thrilled to receive so many entries again. The quality has been extremely high and the judges stated that they had a very tough task.
