Award winning composer Nigel Clarke has launched his new website.
It includes the usual features of news, works and publications, as well as a performance diary and examples of his many critically acclaimed compositions — including those for brass band such as the euphonium concerto 'The City in the Sea', and cornet concerto, 'Mysteries of the Horizon' and his major test-pieces such as 'Earthrise' and the amazing 'When World's Collide'.
Distinction
Nigel Clarke studied composition with Paul Patterson at the Royal Academy of Music and was awarded the Academy's highest distinction, the Queen's Commendation for Excellence.
Aged 16 he joined the Royal Marines as a junior military bandsman and went on to serve in the Band of the Royal Army Medical Corps and ultimately the Band of the Irish Guards. His desire to write music was encouraged at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall.
