New Fayre on offer from Hammonds

The Hammonds Band is going to be busy in recording mode in the future as they start a new series of CD releases.

Hammonds
The band hope to get together for a further two recordings in the new series

Fresh from its Royal Albert Hall qualification success at the Yorkshire Regional Championships earlier in the year, the Hammonds Band has undertaken the first of what will be a series of new CD recordings under MD, Morgan Griffiths.

Entitled 'Scarborough Fayre', the first album is a celebration of the band's annual visit to the Stephen Joseph Theatre in the famous seaside town.

It features several new arrangements by Sandy Smith and Alan Morrison, alongside some of the most popular pieces the band has entertained audiences with there over the years. Solo contributions come from Kirsty Abbotts, Alan Morrison, Zoe Wright and Michael Walsh.

Thanks

A spokesperson told 4BR: "The band would like to thank Sandy alongside Jess Tredrea and Keith Johnson from KMJ Recordings for making the hard working weekend a great experience.

It's the start of what we hope will be a series that reaches out to a new audience, and we are grateful that it has been supported by Jeremy Peaker of Much-Loved Productions."
