Foden's head to Hitchin following Euros

Foden's will link up with Hitchin Band this weekend to help promote youth brass playing in Hertfordshire.

  Foden's will head to Hertfordshire this weekend

Following their podium finish at the European Championships in Birmingham, Foden's will head to Hitchin on Saturday 7th May to perform in concert Hitchin Band in concert at St Mary's Church (7.30pm).

Promote

The concert has been supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England with the aim to help promote youth brass playing in Hertfordshire.

All under-16 tickets to the concert are free (which can be allocated on the ticket website or at the door) with the concert featuring a specially commissioned work to be played by Hitchin Youth Band and Foden's entitled 'Family Bonds' by John Barber to celebrate the way music brings people together.

Real spectacle

A Foden's spokesperson told 4BR: "The event promises to be a real spectacle, with the use of film and imagery to accompany the music, joint numbers between the two bands and Foden's reprising our 2021 Brass in Concert programme."

Tintwistle Band
