The Skelmanthorpe Band has announced the signing of the vastly experienced Neil Johnson as their new Solo Euphonium.
Hugely respected as a performer, he has previously enjoyed spells at Sharlston Colliery and his hometown band of Knottingley Silver, as well as City of Hull, Tewit Silver and Rothwell Temperance.
His playing has also graced the stages of the British Open, National Finals, Brass in Concert and many more major competitions.
Looking forward
On his appointment he said: "I'm delighted to be joining Skelmanthorpe and looking forward to working with MD Martin Heartfield who has such drive and commitment as well humour which makes rehearsals enjoyable and a pleasure to be a part of."
