4BR has been informed that Tim Oldroyd has resigned from his position as CEO and Director of Geneva Brasswind Ltd, part of what has been commonly known as the Geneva Group.

4BR understands that the decision is made effective from 25th April 2022, with the founder stating that he has not been involved in the running of the company since 25th March.

He has cited differences between himself and the majority shareholder Vincent Eckerman.

After starting the Geneva brand of instruments in 2000, the company has enjoyed considerable success in its effective marketing and sales promotions which has embraced a number of leading bands and high-profile performers.

Thanks

In a short statement Tim Oldroyd said: "Geneva has developed, built and marketed some of the finest brass band instruments currently on the market, and is proud to have a number of the world's finest bands and musicians playing and endorsing them.

We also made the decision to support the banding movement with considerable sponsorship investment.

At present I would like to thank all of the people that have helped and supported myself and the company on this journey."
