Phillip McCann has announced that he has left his role as a Development Consultant & Performance Artist with the Geneva Group.
The legendary cornet star and recipient of both the Iles and Mortimer Medals helped the company develop and launch its popular Heritage cornet.
In addition he also hosted the successful Phillip McCann International Slow Melody Competition to encourage the development of young cornet players within the banding movement. The high profile competition attracted over 80 entries from across the globe.
With regret
Phillip told 4BR: "With great regret, I have come to the conclusion that the connection between myself and Geneva has come to the end of its natural course.
It has been an association that I have valued and done my best to sustain to the utmost extent of my ability and have great pride that the collaboration has produced, among other things, an instrument of outstanding quality and distinction that must surely be among the very best in the world."
