There are exciting job opportunities with Brass Band England

Brass Bands England is seeking to appoint a number of talented individuals in a range of newly-created roles.

They have been made possible by the £227,189 awarded as part of the Government's £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund (CRF) to help face the challenges of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Number of projects

BBE's Education & Development Co-ordinator, Sarah Baumann told 4BR: "The invaluable funding allows us to create a number of projects that will benefit bands of all levels.

It includes the recruitment of five brass specialists as part of the 'Brass Foundations' youth project to support tuition in local bands in their area, create educational resources, find new ways to recruit young players and form strong links between youth bands and Music Hubs in their community."

Sarah added: "We know that many Hubs have seen a reduction in uptake for brass tuition from schools, and so we feel this opportunity will be invaluable in ensuring young people continue to take up brass instruments and find their love of music within their local brass band."

Enquiries

As part of this education programme, Brass Bands England is keen to hear from bands across England wanting to take part in the scheme.

All enquiries can be directed to Sarah Baumann on sarah@bbe.org.uk.
