Cobalt Brass, a quintet of former Royal Northern College of Music graduates is to support World Mental Health Day with a virtual concert performance to be broadcast on YouTube.
World Mental Health Day is on Saturday 10th October and has become an international day of awareness for mental health education, advocacy and understanding.
Raise funds
This will be the second time Cobalt Brass has supported its aims and objectives with a concert (7.00pm) that will hopefully raise funds through a special JustGiving page.
Speaking to 4BR, spokesperson Jack Rowlands said: "Mental health is an issue that is close to our hearts as a group and we want to do our bit to help support activities that raise awareness of mental health issues and the specifically the work of the Mind charity."
The concert is premiering on our YouTube channel on the day itself, and will include brand new performances from us and three special guest artists: Chameleon, Danny Addison, and Oystercatcher — all graduates of the RNCM."

Connection
The ensemble was formed in 2015 and has made a name for itself for the diversity of its repertoire.
The members are Joseph Martin and Adam Bidgood on trumpet, Keiran Fletcher on French horn, Conall Gormley on tuba and Jack Rowlands on trombone — with at last three of the players having previously enjoyed a connection with the brass band world.
"We had a great time at the RNCM and wanted to keep playing together,"Jack added. "This is an ideal way of showcasing our talents, but also of our friends Chameleon, Danny Addison, and Oystercatcher.
We hope everyone will enjoy what's on offer for free, but them give something to help Mind with their ongoing work."
