Mental health advocate, trainer, musician, and director of Mode for... Tabby Kerwin will be holding a free online session on mental health awareness in brass bands on Monday 21st September (7.00pm)
Free hour
The free one-hour mental health awareness session is specifically aimed at people in brass banding, and focuses on identifying and supporting better mental health.
It will involve some mental health awareness information to help spot the early signs of mental ill health and an open Q&A session for you to ask any questions which will help and support you and everyone involved in your brass band.
Focus
Tabby, who has also produced to popular podcasts entitled, 'The Three Taboos' and 'Brass on the Mind' as well as a bestselling book, told 4BR: "Now more than ever it is important to focus on the mental health of our musicians as we navigate through testing times globally.
This session is open to anyone in bands globally, not just England, and could be the starting point of important conversations of how to work together to our good supports in place for better mental health."

Tabby will also be hosting a free online session on mental health for the Scottish Brass Band Association on Sunday 20th September having recently been invited to discuss the topic as part of Canada's Prairie Music Residency.
