Mentor help announced by Cory for entertainment contenders

Bands who have entered the Cory on-line entertainment championships will get their own bit of support and insight from mentors of the world's number 1 ranked band.

Cory
Cory Band will provide mentors for each of the competitors

Cory's on-line entertainment championship has already gained worldwide interest with over 70 bands taking the opportunity to showcase their talents in 10 minute programmes for a global audience to enjoy over the weekends of the 18th/19th & 25th/26th September.

Exciting

MD Philip Harper has also contacted each of the entrants to inform them of their allocated Cory Band Mentor — an initiative to help them gain an idea of how to put together their sets and how to make the most of the opportunities the exciting on-line format offers.

20 members of the band have been allocated a band to assist to help the competitors prepare to send in their entertainment performances by the deadline of 4th September.

Allocated

Speaking to 4BR, Phil said: "We're very excited to have been able to allocate the Cory Band Mentors to bands in our online contest.

As well as providing some great entertainment to the viewers when the contest is aired, we have also been keen to give the participants the best possible experience of our project.

Linking them to a Cory Band Mentor will hopefully provide them some experienced support as they embark upon working on their submissions."

It's a new area for everyone to explore and enjoy and we want to help as many other bands as we can make the most of their 'virtual' banding experiencePhil Harper

New area

He added: "It's a new area for everyone to explore and enjoy and we want to help as many other bands as we can make the most of their 'virtual' banding experience.

I have three bands to mentor myself, and I'm really looking forward to hearing their ideas!"
