Marshall to host free masterclass over the Burry Port airwaves

Richard Marshall will be paying a virtual visit to Burry Port this weekend to host a free masterclass — and its open to anyone in the world!

Burry Port Town Band will be holding a free on-line youth masterclass with Black Dyke principal cornet player Richard Marshall this weekend.

The Geneva artist will be the welcome gust of the west Wales band and will offer his experience and advice to players on a variety of topics, including how to practice something difficult so it becomes easier!!

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "We are thrilled to welcome Richard on-line with us and we are sure his expertise will be invaluable to players of all ages and standards — especially at this time when motivation is key.

Funded through help from Ty Cerdd's Youth Music grant, the masterclass on Sunday 12th July starts at 5.00pm and is open to any player.
