The project is looking for as many brass players as possible to take part in an international 'virtual brass band' and to submit their own playing of composer David Lancaster's work, 'Eclipse' which can be downloaded for free at:

The team has also announced that international trumpet star Mike Lovatt will be featured on the work, with David Lancaster telling 4BR: "We wrote the opening to 'Eclipse' especially for Mike as well as a brilliant flourish towards the end of the work. You have to say when we heard him play it — he nailed it!"

Worldwide
Harrogate International Festival is hoping that many more players now take the opportunity to link up with the initiative and play along with Mike. Submissions have already been received from all over the world, from South Korea to South Africa, India to Ireland.
The project has also seen submissions coming in from some top orchestral players who have recorded their own 'Eclipse' part.
Matthew Gee, Principal Trombone with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra was one and was delighted to get involved. He told 4BR: "It's great to see an arts organisation taking a fresh approach to music making and for them to be commissioning new material during lockdown is even better!"
