4BR has been informed that the 2019 Twofour/Sky Arts television series Battle of the Brass Bands series has been nominated for a prestigious BAFTA Award.
Whit Friday
The episode covering the Whit Friday contests has been nominated for a BAFTA Craft Award in the 'Sound: Factual' category and will itself battle for the prize alongside two nominations from the BBC One television series 'One Planet' and the Box to Box/Netflix series 'Formula 1: Drive to Survive'.
The series which also covered the British Ope, National Championships and Brass in Concert contest gained widespread popular and critical acclaim.
The BAFTA winners will be announced at an on-line awards ceremony on Friday 17th July.
A spokesperson for Twofour told 4BR: "We're all chuffed!"
