The Badcore Horns will be giving their performance this evening...

If you are looking for a different kind of musical buzz to kick off the weekend this evening (Friday 22nd May), then why not tune into the year 2279 for a full live performance from Badcore Horns.

Flu World Order

At 8.00pm this evening they will be beaming themselves into your homes with their set entitled 'Flu World Order' — an intoxicating mix of Drum'nBrass and heavy, heavy dance music.

Badcore Horns is a musical project started by composer, conductor and professional trumpet player Simon Dobson around eight years ago with saxophonist Dan Hillman.

They have since gained a huge following on the independent gig scene, playing at festivals and shows, with their set of original tunes, a crazy electronic set up, stage show and costumes — complete with Simon playing a double belled trumpet (one going into a special fx pedal board).

Full gig

Talking to 4BR ahead of the broadcast Simon told 4BR: "This year was due to be out biggest ever with appearances booked at Glastonbury, Shambala, Boomtown and Wilderness.

Unfortunately COVID-19 put a stopper on that... so we've decided to redirect our creativity and have produced from isolation a full gig, appearing to be together via our musical time machine!"

He added: "We hope everyone enjoys it. We bought green screens into play and our drummer Mike Osborne who I've known for over 30 years has literally spent hundreds of hours working on things. It's all our creativity pout into one great show."
