Fulham's MD John Ward will be interviewed on the show

Fulham Brass Band MD John Ward will be a featured guest on the classical music digital radio station Scala Radio this weekend.

The station has gained critical as well as popular acclaim thanks in part to its music mix of 70% classical and 30% 'surprising' as well as more extensive interview and feature content than its rivals Classic FM and BBC Radio 3.

Saturday morning

Presenters include Simon Mayo, Mark Kermode and Angelica Bell, who will talk to John on her breakfast show on Saturday morning (9th May) at around 8.30am.

The conversation will be about what the band has been doing to keep active while social distancing measures through its Zoom webinar session with the likes Sheona White, Roger Webster and Peter Graham, but also by learning new skills such as yoga. In the next few weeks the band will welcome Philip Harper, Jannicke Ellingsen and Bruce Broughton.

The night to Sing

The Scala interview will also feature a focus on the band's session with Bramwell Tovey this Monday and will feature a segment of Foden's Band performing the final movement of his 'The Night to Sing' which was written to commemorate the 60th anniversary of VE Day.
