Mode for... welcomes new names to the musical stable

Four new composers for the brass band medium have been signed up by Mode for... publishing

Mode for... is excited by the signing of the four new composers

Following a successful initiative to seek out previously unpublished composers and get their works introduced to the brass band world, Mode for…Publishing has announced the first four signings to their growing stable of talented writers for the medium.

Mark Picken, Itamar Danzigar, Alan Ingram and Iain Mundy will soon be made available for purchase — and hopefully just at the time when players and bands can look forward to getting back to rehearsals.

Encourage

Mode for… owner Tabby Kerwin told 4BR: "It was always the desire of Simon and I to encourage other musicians and give them a platform to share their work.

The addition of music by these previously unpublished composers is an exciting moment for Mode for. Simon's music is at the heart of the business and always will be, but what I really want is to create opportunities for other musicians too."

Exciting

Tabby added: "There is some exciting music which has been written and will feature on the website from solos to marches, a work for four trumpets and some really atmospheric and fun brass band compositions.

When bands get back into their bandrooms it will definitely offer something new and different."
