New podcast focuses on composer chat

A new podcast from a final year student at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire will feature conversations with leading brass band composers.

A new podcast production entitled, 'Talking Brass Bands' has been created by Royal Birmingham Conservatoire student James Alexander, as part of his final year degree studies.

Insight

The podcast aims to offer an insight into the lives and music of a number of brass band composers.

Each episode features an interview with a different composer and a discussion about one of their compositions in detail, which is featured on the podcast.

Trio of interviews

The first trio of interviews will feature Lucy Pankhurst, Liz Lane and Gavin Higgins and with many more episodes on the way.
