A weekend brain tickler to see if you can win a fantastic pCornet...

cORENT
You can win a fantastic pCornet with our weekend quiz

We will keep posting regular quiz questions to win prizes over the coming weeks — some harder than others — but all a bit of fun to keep you in a good musical mood at home.

Thanks to our friends at Band Supplies and Warwick Music Group we have a fantastic pcornet up for grabs.

All you have to do is come up with the link between the following... and explain why.

Question:

What name links the Birmingham inventor of the first man-made plastic, with a famous Black Dyke Band conductor, an iconic 1950s female American civil rights activist, a former West Ham United goalkeeper and a 1980's European Championship test-piece?

A quiz for today winner

Andy Collins from Herne Bay was our winner of our tricky 'Today Only' quiz. As it was the 23rd April the link was of course George and the Dragon.

Major George Willcocks was the British Open and National Championship winning conductor of Black Dyke, the European Championship test-piece by Philip Sparke was 'Year of the Dragon', William Shakespeare was born and died on St George's Day and the quirky 1963 pop song by the trio Peter, Paul and Mary as 'Puff the Magic Dragon'.
