Legacy link helps Stannington support NHS workers

Stannington Band has used its performance of a work inspired by the NHS to help raise funds for NHS Charities.

Legacy
The performance is inspired by the 70th anniversary of the NHS for today's NHS workers

Stannington Brass Band is supporting the work of NHS workers during the Coronavirus pandemic thanks to its performance of a test-piece that itself was inspired by the creation of the National Health Service in 1948.

Their First Section Yorkshire Regional Championship rendition of 'Legacy' by composer Tom Davoren, which itself celebrates the determination of Welsh politician Aneurin Bevan to create the universal health care system, is now available on YouTube.
