Yamaha has welcomed the respected Swedish trombonist and conductor Andreas Kratz to their international stable of artists.

Outstanding

Timo Hänf, Yamaha Artist Relation & Product Specialist told 4BR: "It's great that with Andreas Kratz another top international trombone player but also conductor has chosen to link with us at Yamaha.

Andreas has outstanding experience as a professional trombonist and great skills as a conductor to bring Yamaha an extra dimension in the world of brass and wind bands."

Experience

The former tenor and bass-trombonist of the Gothenburg Opera House was raised in the Salvation Army and started playing in its Tranås Band at an early age. Later on he studied trombone with Ingemar Roos in Gothenburg before joining the Gothenburg Opera as well as playing with many top Scandinavian orchestras.

He has also gained a great deal of experience with brass and wind bands in both the amateur and professional spheres, and has studied conducting at Gothenburg University of Music. He is frequently invited as guest conductor with several brass bands and wind bands in Europe.

I feel honoured to become a Yamaha artist. My experience of making music at the highest level in brass bands and wind bands spans over 20 yearsAndreas Kratz

Honoured

Speaking to 4BR he said: "I feel honoured to become a Yamaha artist. My experience of making music at the highest level in brass bands and wind bands spans over 20 years.

Beside my playing career I'm looking forward to inspire musicians of all ages and experience."
