4BR will be linking up with professional brass and percussion players over the coming weeks to provide some great 5 minute masterclasses.

Ross Knight is the solo tuba player with the renowned Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, but has a brass band pedigree that stretches back to his time playing in Scotland with the Carnoustie & District Youth Band.

He has performed under many of the world's finest orchestral conductors and has been a featured soloist with some of the world's finest brass bands.

Here he covers the art of mastering the language of scales in all their different forms.
