Doyle ends Northop tenure

John Doyle calls time on his tenure at Northop after leading the north Wales band to Senior Cup success and a return to the National Final.

Northop
John Doyle led Northop to Senior Cup victory and qualification to the Albert Hall.

John Doyle has relinquished his role as Musical Director of the Northop Band.

It brings to end a highly successful 27 month tenure during which time he led them to victory in the Senior Cup, qualification to the 2019 National Finals, success at the Whit Friday contests and a hat-trick of victories at the North Wales Rally competition.

Dedicated

Speaking to 4BR he said: "Northop is such a hard working and dedicated set of musicians who really bought into my ideas. Unfortunately, the travelling to and from North Wales has taken its toll as well as my full time senior High School teaching role and increasing diary of adjudicating engagements."

Thanks

He added: "Finding a band closer to home is something I feel I now need to do for the sake of my young family. I would like to thank Northop for the great times we have had together and I am certain that they will continue to blossom."
