The ongoing effects of the Coronavirus pandemic has seen the cancellation of Allan Withington's Conductor Summer School due to be held in Leeuwarden in the summer.

In a statement from Allan and course administrator Anja Abma, they say: "Due to the uncertainty concerning travel, the announcement made by Governments over border closures and personal safety and well being, we have taken the decision to cancel any plans we had concerning this year's Conductor Summer School."

2021 return

He added: "We will now plan and look ahead to 2021 with a renewed sense of determination and new ideas to continue the development of the course which attracts delegates from around the banding globe.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and we will get back to all concerned as soon as the plans and format for 2021 have been finalised."
