4BR has been informed that to prevent a further outbreak of the Coronavirus in Norway, the Norwegian Band Federation (NMF) has strongly recommended that no band rehearsals or concerts take place until after the Easter period.

It has been confirmed that the recommendation is based on direct information given by the appropriate Norwegian health authorities. The NMF has already cancelled its NM Janitsjar event in Trondheim.

It has also been announced today (Thursday 12th March) by the Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg that all the country's kindergartens, schools, primary schools, secondary schools, technical colleges and universities are to be closed, as are all cultural events.
