Tales, Sabres and Endurance on show at Whitburn

Whitburn will hold a special open rehearsal this week — with the chance to hear not one but three Scottish Championship test-pieces being played.

Scottish Open champion and pre-qualified National Finalists Whitburn will be holding a special open rehearsal ahead of their Scottish Championship challenge in Perth on the weekend.

Test-pieces

The band will be joined by Broxburn & Livingston and Whitburn Heartlands Bands — with each showcasing their preparations on their test-pieces.

Whitburn will be directed by Joseph Cook and will perform Philip Sparke's 'A Tale As Yet Untold', whilst Broxburn & Livingston Band under Charlie Farren, will showcase 'The Golden Sabre' by Kit Turnbull.

Whitburn Heartlands and Stephen Duncan will perform 'Endurance' by Andrew Baker.

Time and place

The event will take place on Friday, March 6th at Whitburn Academy in the West Lothian town and will begin at 7.30pm.
