South Brisbane Federal Band has announced the appointment of Fletcher Mitchell as their new Musical Director.

The Australian top section contenders stated that they were looking forward to working with the Yamaha international euphonium artist who is based in the city.

Worldwide experience

Fletcher has travelled the world as a guest soloist, conductor, adjudicator and educator, including North America, Europe and UK and across Australia and New Zealand.

He is the euphonium lecturer at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, brass examiner with the Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) and finalising his PhD at the University of Southern Queensland.
