With bands getting ready for the Yorkshire Regional Championships in Huddersfield this weekend, press photographer Lorne Campbell has been out and about getting images to send to the national media outlets to help promote the profile of brass banding.
His success over the last few years has seen pictures appear in some of the most famous newspapers in the UK, with an image from the North West Area contest appearing in The Times last week.
This image of Black Dyke's horn star Siobhan Bates may well be the latest to seen on news stands — taken at the old John Foster & Sons Black Dyke Mills in Queensbury.
Siobhan is currently a student at the University of Huddersfield and the current BrassPass Young Brass Award winner. She recently won the 'Best Instrumentalist' award at the UniBrass Championships.
