The former TCTC Group Band will now be known as the Acceler8 Band as they gain new sponsorship deal.

Following the sale of the TCTC Group business it has been announced that the North West Area Championship Section band that has carried its name since 2018 will now be known as the Acceler8 Band.

Acceler8 Clinical Research is a global clinical contract research organisation headquartered in Singapore, with offices in Melbourne and Winnington, Cheshire, that provides professional support to worldwide pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device organisations e.

Acceler8 Clinical Research Company Director Tom Richardson told 4BR: "Acceler8 are a new business that is delighted to take on the sponsorship of this very popular musical organisation.

Our company is committed to supporting the local community and we anticipate that the band's success will continue to grow with this new chapter in its long history. "

Existing links

It was confirmed that Musical Director Jef Sparkes, members and rehearsal facilities will remain the same, although a new internet web address www.acceler8band.com and Facebook page presence will be launched soon.

The band originally enjoyed a long association with Co-operative movement from its formation in 1955 before its name identity as the TCTC Group Band came in 2018.
