The recent North West Regional Championships in Blackpool were certainly well covered by the brass banding media outlets, but thanks to photographer Lorne Campbell readers of The Times newspaper also found out that it had taken place.

Lorne's image was featured on Monday's edition — with tenor horn player Helen Whiteley from Macclesfield photographed under the Winter Garden's statue of the great comedy duo Morecambe and Wise.
