The Swedish Central Band of the Salvation Army which was founded in January 2018 continues to provide inspirational music throughout the country.
Guest conductor Andreas Kratz has told 4BR that the band consists of former and active Salvation Army bandsmen who share a passion for Salvation Army music and its message.
More events
Since its inception the band has provided concerts in Orebro, Södertalje, Linköping, Varnamo, Uppsala and Stockholm and in March will get together to perform in yet more events.
Andreas told 4BR: "This is a wonderful group of musicians who wish to perform equally wonderful music together for others inspiration and joy. The repertoire is a mix of traditional Salvation Army music as well as solo spots with music from the likes of Arthur Pryor and George Gershwin."
