Ulf Rosenberg has wished the European banding world a 'Merry Christmas' and a 'Happy 2020' in his Christmas message as President of the European Brass Band Association.
Successful 2019
Reflecting on what was a highly successful 2019 for EBBA and the banding community it serves, he pinpointed what he called the 'sold out' success European Championships in Montreux and in particular the outstanding efforts of the local Swiss Brass Band Association organisers.
He also confirmed that EBBA is looking forward to Palanga as well as Malmö in 2021, stating that the future was "looking bright for the most prestigious brass band event in the world"with proposals in place for Innsbruck (2022), Stavanger (2023) and Gateshead (2024).
We are looking forward to continue our work in 2020 and looking forward to welcome you to EBBC in Palanga, Lithuania, for another great event. Merry Christmas and a Happy 2020!Ulf Rosenberg
Thanks
He also thanked the raft of sponsors and partners for their continued support as well as an extensive list of 'stakeholders' — from EBBA executive members and delegates to jury members, composers and participants at all levels of competition.
There was also a nice mention for the press too!
He rounded off his message by starting: "We are looking forward to continue our work in 2020 and looking forward to welcome you to EBBC in Palanga, Lithuania, for another great event. Merry Christmas and a Happy 2020!"
